Grandmother 'found teenager's body on street'

The grandmother of a teenager apparently shot dead by police discovered his body lying motionless on the street.

Mike Brown's grandmother Desiree Harris saw the 18-year-old running near her home in St Louis and was expecting him to visit her later on Saturday afternoon.

"When I got up there, my grandson was lying on the pavement. I asked the police what happened. They didn't tell me nothing," she said.

The teenager's mother has described the killing as "wrong and cold-hearted", while his stepfather held a sign claiming it was an execution.

Angry demonstrations have been held in Ferguson, Missouri following the shooting.
