Henry Winkler, who played The Fonz in Happy Days where Robin Williams made his TV debut, has paid tribute to him.
In a statement Mr Winkler told ITV News: "Robin Williams, tower of raw and unfiltered talent, is a force this world will not experience again anytime soon. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Williams family.”
