Flash flood smashes through hospital doors

Incredible footage shows the moment a wall of water crashed through locked doors at a US hospital and flooded the cafeteria.

The flash flood took hold of the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

City officials have blamed a long period of heavy rain, which left the sewers backed up.

The video shows how the floor was already covered in shallow water, which had forced the canteen to shut down.

But the force of the high water levels visible through the window prove too much, and the glass double doors give way to the tide.

Nobody was hurt and hospital workers said the flood water did not reach any patient areas - though it has caused significant damage to the ground floor.
