The 12 foot 7 inch shark was caught by fisherman Ryan Spring from San Antonio, who reeled it in for more than seven hours.

The creature was cooked by a volunteer chef and served to over 90 homeless people, according to Timon's Ministries Corpus Christi, Texas.

The volume of leftovers will contribute towards a shark stew next week, the charity said.
