Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport re-opens after landing incident

Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport has re-opened, after a plane suffered a problem during landing.

The LinksAir flight, returning from Belfast City Airport, had an issue with the undercarriage as it tried to land and a passenger was taken to hospital for checks after the incident.

Passengers have been advised to contact their airline before travelling from the airport, services were expected to resume mid-afternoon.

All flights from Doncaster remain grounded

All flights at Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport remain grounded as investigations into an aircraft that had problems while landing continue.

Passengers have been told to check in as normal and the airport said they were working towards reopening the runway by mid afternoon.

The LinksAir flight from Belfast City Airport experienced issues while landing at the airport at about 7.30pm yesterday.

Air investigators arrived at the airport this morning to inspect the aircraft that had problems with its undercarriage on landing.
