Three top Hamas commanders killed in Israeli strike

Three senior Hamas military commanders have been killed in Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip, the Islamist militant group said.

Hamas named the men as Mohammed Abu Shammala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum and said they were killed in a bombing of a house in the southern town of Rafah.

Hamas denies knowledge of rocket attack

Hamas had no knowledge of rockets being fired into Israeli territory, according to a spokesperson for the group.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack called "a grave and direct violation of the ceasefire," by Mark Regev, a spokesman for Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu.

However, Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri said the group had no knowledge of any rockets being fired.
