Three top Hamas commanders killed in Israeli strike

Three senior Hamas military commanders have been killed in Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip, the Islamist militant group said.

Hamas named the men as Mohammed Abu Shammala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum and said they were killed in a bombing of a house in the southern town of Rafah.

Rockets fired from Gaza 'hit Israeli city of Beersheba'

Three rockets fired from Gaza have hit the southern Israel city of Beersheba, the Israeli military have claimed.

A military spokeswoman said the rockets landed in open areas near the city of Beersheba and there were no reports of casualties. Reuters witnesses in Gaza City said they heard the sound of rockets being launched from the Palestinian enclave.
