Heavy cloud and rain in the north, drier in the south

It's a tale of two halves weather-wise for the next 24 hours, with heavy cloud and rain in the north and drier, sunny spells in the south.

The rain will sink southwards overnight, but the pattern will resume by tomorrow morning.

Temperatures across the board will be cooler even when the sun is out however, with highs of just 17C or 18C (62F to 64F).
