BT phone and broadband prices set to rise by up to 6.5%

BT is set to increase prices by up to 6.5% from December.

Broadband prices are going up by as much as 6.49% while standard line rental for direct debit customers will increase by £1 or 6.25%.

The telecoms giant said the majority of its customers were on all inclusive packages, adding that bills had decreased by 14% in the last five years.

BT announces bill hikes 'putting pressure on familes'
