British actors paid tribute to late actor and director Richard Attenborough at the Emmy Awards last night.
Chiwetel Ejiofor said his death was "tragic", adding that he was a "great champion of so many causes".
Downton Abbey actress Joanne Froggatt described Attenborough as an "absolute gentleman", while Minnie Driver said the director was one of "our British treasures" and "will be missed greatly".
