NHS to fund Ashya King's treatment in Czech Republic

The NHS is to pay for five-year-old brain tumour patient Ashya King's proton beam therapy treatment in the Czech Republic.

His parents Brett and Naghemeh King sparked an international police hunt after they took their son out of Southampton General Hospital and travelled to Prague for the treatment which was not available for him on the NHS.

Question is not if Ashya will be found, but when

The British police police have requested that the French police put into effect their Child Rescue Alert System - a nationwide operation looking at CCTV and trying to pick up the vehicle registration of their car to try to find a location.

So the question is not if this family will be found, but when, given the urgency of the situation.

And when they are found, Ashya is clearly going to have to be taken to a hospital with the same specialist care that he was receiving at Southampton General.
