NHS to fund Ashya King's treatment in Czech Republic

The NHS is to pay for five-year-old brain tumour patient Ashya King's proton beam therapy treatment in the Czech Republic.

His parents Brett and Naghemeh King sparked an international police hunt after they took their son out of Southampton General Hospital and travelled to Prague for the treatment which was not available for him on the NHS.

King parents: We just want the best for Ashya

Ashya King's parents said they wanted the "best treatment" for their son as they were taken by police from the court in Velez-Malaga to a police car this evening.

Brett King could be seen saying: "We just want the best for Ashya." His wife Naghemeh can be heard saying that the couple want the "best treatment" for their son.

Both appeared to be handcuffed and police pushed them into the car.
