Woman arrested for 'conspiring to commit murder' after Pennie Davis death

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder following the death of Pennie Davis in the New Forest.

Davis, a 47-year-old mother of five, was stabbed multiple times in a paddock near Leygreen Farm, north of Beaulieu, as she tended to her horses on September 2.

Hampshire Police also said officers have been granted more time to question a 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police appeal for help to find woman's killer

Police have appealed for help from the public after a mother-of-five was found stabbed to death in the New Forest national park.

Detectives from Hampshire Constabulary think 47-year-old Pennie Davis was tending her horse shortly before she was killed at a paddock on Leygreen Farm, Beaulieu.

A post mortem examination conducted yesterday revealed that Pennie died as a result of multiple stab wounds...We urgently need to trace and speak to witnesses. We want to speak to anyone who was in the area of the paddock by Leygreen Farm on Tuesday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm

Police believe tourists, commuters, walkers and people out fishing in a nearby river may have seen something important and urged them to get in contact.
