Second World War veterans gathered for VJ Day celebrations in London today. Among them was 95-year-old Douglas Blackwell who had fought against the Japanese in what was then Burma.
He spoke to ITV News:
Veterans of World War Two have been taking part in events to mark the 70th anniversary of VJ Day, Japan's surrender and the end of the war.
The royals joined the prime minister at a special commemoration service as events across the country marked 70 years since WW2's end.
People have been encouraged to attend VJ Day events on Saturday amid reported terror threats in London.
