Homeowners and businesses across the country have been counting the cost of flood damage, after two days of heavy rain.
It is causing travel chaos in many areas with roads blocked and train services cancelled.
The Environment Agency has 16 flood warnings and 102 flood alerts in place and warned of a continuing flood risk in Dorset and York as rain causes the rivers to gradually rise.
The Met Office said Storm Angus, which had brought gusts of around 50mph over higher ground and coastal areas in the South East, is becoming more settled.
A windy day across the UK with sunshine in the north and cloud in the south.
Homeowners and businesses affected by the severe weather are being advised to contact their insurer as soon as possible.
