Police are investigating following the third attack on sheep in the Ballyholland area of Co Down in as many weeks.
Over the weekend, farmer Gerard Travers spoke to UTV about finding three of his animals dead in a ditch with stab wounds on Friday night.
Prior to that, sheep were attacked at Temple Hill Road sometime between 8.30pm on Tuesday 4 July and 8am on Wednesday 5 July.
Some were killed at the scene, while others had to later be put down by a vet.
And before that, several sheep were killed and others badly injured in the Mass Rock area between 9am and 7pm on Thursday 22 June.
PSNI Chief Inspector Roy Robinson said: “There have now been three brutal, senseless attacks on animals in the local area in recent days.
“We would appeal to anyone who has information that could help our investigation to contact officers in Newry on 101.
