Scattered wintry showers will spread from the north overnight, bringing a risk of ice, and localised snowfalls mainly over the higher ground.

Monday:

A mixture of bright or sunny spells and wintry showers, becoming mostly rain at low levels. Feeling cold again with a freshening northerly breeze.

Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A bright start to Tuesday but rain will spread east later.

Unsettled on Wednesday and Thursday with showers or longer spells of rain, falling as snow on hills. Remaining cold.
