Middle-class Catholics have lost faith in Northern Ireland's post-Agreement shared society, according to sports pundit Joe Brolly.
He makes the claim in an interview on the UTV programme Eamonn Mallie: Face To Face With on Wednesday.
Mr Brolly says: "There was a time that the Catholic middle-classes would have bought into a Northern Ireland society.
"There was a chance for that, I sincerely believe that - it's completely gone."
Mr Brolly, who is a GAA analyst and lawyer, says DUP "contempt and disdain" is partly responsible for the failure to fulfill the promise of 1998.
Eamonn Mallie: Face To Face With Joe Brolly is on UTV tonight at 10.45pm.
