Snow continues to cause problems in parts of NI

Snow and ice is continuing to cause havoc on the roads as parts of Northern Ireland remain gripped by Arctic weather.

Rural areas in counties Tyrone and Londonderry have been hardest hit amid the ongoing cold snap.

Gritters and snow ploughs have fought to keep roads open.

They were called into action early on Friday morning to re-open the Windyhill Road between Limavady and Coleraine, one of many across Northern Ireland forced to close due to snow and ice overnight.

Gareth Wilkinson has been out and about in the snow zone.
