One man has been badly injured in a stabbing and another beaten with a metal baseball bat in separate attacks in Lisburn on Thursday night.
Both incidents happened between 11.10pm and 11.30pm.
The stabbing happened in the Ashmount Park area, where the 22-year-old victim was found with a number of wounds to his side.
He had to be taken to hospital and is being treated for injuries to a lung and kidney.
That came just after an earlier incident, close to the nearby Huguenot play park.
A man armed with a metal baseball bat entered the park and there was an altercation with a number of men and women.
A 21-year-old man was struck with the bat and suffered injuries to his back and cuts to his body.
He had to be treated in hospital, but has since been discharged.
Detectives are investigating and have appealed for information.
PSNI Detective Inspector Wallace said: “I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time either of these incidents took place - or who has mobile phone footage of either - to get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101.
“Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
