Two people escaped injury after a pipe bomb was thrown into their back garden in Craigavon.

The incident happened in the Einniskeen area of the town in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A person living at the house heard a loud bang to the rear of the property at around 1am.

They then found remnants of what is believed to be a pipe bomb in the back garden.

Police are working to establish a motive and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with detectives in Lurgan by calling 101, quoting reference number 595 of 05/07/18.
