Institute FC are preparing to kick off life in the top-flight when the new football season gets underway, after defying the odds to earn promotion.

The club were forced out of their home ground all last year by serious flooding.

This year, the Brandywell will be where ‘Stute play all their home games and they took a win over their Derry City landlords in a pre-season friendly at the weekend.

Team boss Paddy McLaughlin says there is definitely a buzz about the club.

“Players can’t wait to get started, so bring on Saturday,” he said.
