Some familiar faces are among those backing the ‘Your Belfast’ campaign, which aims to get more people into the city centre in the wake of the Primark fire that has hit traders hard.
The new campaign aims to show that the city remains open for business, despite the safety cordon.
From TV’s Eamonn Holmes and Pamela Ballantine, to sport stars like boxer Carl Frampton and Northern Ireland football legend David Healy, people are showing support for traders affected.
The former Bank Buildings was devastated by a major blaze and the charred remains still scar the landscape in what should be the thriving heart of Belfast.
However, the current struggle for many is a major cause for concern, as this time of year should be the chance to capitalise on the run up to Christmas – 101 days away.
Among the other measures introduced by the campaign organisers is a trail of yellow dots, making it easier for shoppers to navigate their way around the city centre.
It is hoped the efforts will see life return to something closer to normal in resilient Belfast.
