Secretary of State Karen Bradley has been holding a series of meetings with Northern Ireland’s five main political parties.
She also held talks with church leaders and the Irish Government in what she termed another important step forward in her "clear plan" to restore devolved government.
Power-sharing collapsed early last year and negotiations have stalled.
“I am deeply committed and determined to see the restoration of devolved government in Northern Ireland at the earliest opportunity,” said Ms Bradley.
“Since my statement in September, I’ve continued to engage with the political parties and the Irish Government, as appropriate, seeking their views on both the legislation I will shortly be taking forward and the means of restarting talks aimed at restoring devolution.
“Today is another important step in that process.”
