Glenavon crushed Ballymena United 6-1 at the Showgrounds.

After a scoreless first half, Glenavon took the lead - Adam Foley rifling into the top corner of the net.

Singleton made it two, poking home the loose ball after confusion following a corner.

Sammy Clingan's penalty made it three, and things went from bad to worse for David Jeffrey's side, Andy Hall with a 25-yard free-kick for 4-0.

Tony Kane did net a consolation from the spot for the hosts, but Bobby Burns made it 5-1.

Mitchell made it six, with a simple finish late on to compound Ballymena's agony.
