It's emerged the DUP leader Arlene Foster and Sinn Fein's Michelle O'Neill have written a joint letter to the Vice-President of the United States to stress the importance of Bombardier to the Northern Ireland economy.
The Secretary of State James Brokenshire told the House of Commons that efforts are continuing to try to find a resolution to a bitter trade row between Bombardier and US competitor Boeing which could threaten jobs here.
Boeing is claiming funding from the Canadian government for Bombardier's C-Series aircraft has given it an unfair advantage.
The wings of the aircraft are made in Belfast.
Bombardier could face large financial costs if Boeing's complaint is successful.
