Elderly pedestrian killed in Annahilt collision

An elderly man has died following a road traffic collision in Annahilt, near Hillsborough in County Down.

The 78-year old was hit by a car on Glebe Road between its junctions with Glebe Manor and Carricknadarriff at 8:45 pm on Tuesday evening.

The road remains closed at this time.

Sergeant Jonny MacKenzie has asked for anyone who was travelling on Glebe Road and witnessed the collision, saw a red Volvo C30 car or the pedestrian in the area to contact Lisburn police on 101 quoting reference number 1347 21/11/17.
