As police continue their investigations into the murder of a man in Cardiff, they say there appears to be no apparent motive for the killing.

Peter Lewis, who was 68 and lived alone on Claude Road in the Roath area of the city, was described as 'vulnerable' and had learning difficulties.

He was found stabbed in the communal hallway of the block of flats he lived in.

Last night, police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He is currently being questioned at Cardiff Bay police station.

Neighbours spoke of their shock at what had happened in their community.
