Hundreds of people lined the streets of Aberystwyth as professional cycling came to town.
Roads were closed off to create a 1.2 km course for the only Welsh leg of the Halfords Tour Series.
Ten teams of riders battle it out at locations across the UK. Last year's the Aberystwyth leg had to be cut short because of stormy weather. This year could not have been more of a contrast with uninterrupted sunshine for the whole afternoon, which began with local children and cycle clubs racing the same course the professionals ride.
Things didn't go so smoothly for two cyclists who suffered unfortunate crashes one after another, but walked away unharmed.
The event is seen as a way of promoting cycling and is an attempt to make Aberystwyth a sporting hub for mid and west Wales. The race was won by Kristian House racing for Rapha Condor Sharp, although the team price went to Team UK Youth.
It was their first Tour Series victory, although Endura Racing still maintain an overall lead.
Highlights of Round Five in Aberystwyth are on ITV4 on Monday 28th May at 8pm.
