Ched Evans appeals rape conviction
The Court of Appeal have confirmed today that lawyers for Ched Evans have lodged an appeal against the former Welsh footballer's rape conviction.
The 23-year-old was sentenced to five years in jail in April for raping a 19-year-old woman in a Rhuddlan hotel last year.
No hearing has yet been fixed.
