Jamie Donaldson wins Irish Open
Welshman Jamie Donaldson has claimed his first win on the European Tour - at his 255th attempt.
The 36-year-old won the Irish Open at Royal Portrush by four shots with five birdies in his last seven holes.
Donaldson said his win still felt 'a bit surreal'.
– Jamie DonaldsonI'm buzzing and I'm so happy to have won on this course - I don't think we have played a better one on the European Tour. It feels a bit surreal to be honest. I don't think it will sink in until later.
Donaldson has battled with the genetic spine problem Pars disease, but careful management of it has enabled him to continue his successful career.
