Arrest after body discovered in Swansea

South Wales Police say a 33-year-old man from Port Talbot has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

It follows the discovery of a 48-year-old man's body at Villa Terrace in Treboeth, Swansea, at around 6.50pm yesterday evening.

The family and HM Coroner have been informed but no formal identification has yet been made. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried later today.

I am appealing to anyone who was in the Villa Terrace area of Treboeth during the evening of Wednesday 25th July and who may have relevant information in connection with this incident to contact us.

I would like to reassure the residents of Villa Terrace and the Treboeth area that a full police investigation is underway and we have a significant number of officers involved in the enquiry.
