Man charged with Swansea murder

A 33 year-old man has been charged with murder after the body of 48 year-old David Gary Edwards was discovered in a flat in Swansea on Wednesday.

The man will appear before Swansea Magistrates Court later today.

The body of Mr Edwards, known locally as Gary, was discovered at Villa Terrace in the Treboeth area of the city at around 6.50pm on Wednesday evening.

Following the charge South Wales Police released the following statement:

Our thoughts are with Gary’s family at this time and we are continuing to support them with Family Liaison Officers.”

I am extremely grateful for the excellent response from the community in assisting us with this investigation”

I am reiterating my appeal to anyone who may have been in the area of Villa Terrace, Treboeth during the evening on Wednesday 25th July and who may have information linked to this murder to contact the incident room at Cockett Police Station.
