The Welsh Government has launched a fresh drive to get children more active.

The 'Games4Life' scheme hopes to build on the success of the Olympics, encouraging youngsters to do activities in and around the home.

The aim of the London 2012 Olympics is to 'inspire a generation' and on the back of the most successful games for Britain in the modern era and ever for Welsh athletes the Welsh Government hope the last two weeks of sporting action will have encouraged children and their parents to become more active.

Wales currently has one of the highest levels of obesity in Europe and the 'Games4Life' scheme aims to show families that a healthy and active lifestyle can be easy to achieve and part of every day life.

Parents can get a tailor made plan specifically for their family if they sign up online.
