RAF Valley on Anglesey hits 9,000th rescue

The search-and-rescue team based at RAF Valley on Anglesey has made its nine-thousandth rescue.

Prince William works as a co-pilot with 22 Squadron, who have been saving lives since 1955.

Landmark rescues such as this are commemorated with plaques, which are then hung on the squadron wall.

Our North Wales reporter Rob Shelley was given unique access to the men and women who make up the search-and-rescue team.
