Specialist police units have once again spent the night searching for missing five-year-old April Jones. This morning officers widened their search around the mid-Wales town of Machynlleth, searching a graveyard close to the Bryn-y-Gog estate where April was last seen.

Last night Dyfed Powys police confirmed they had been granted an extra 12 hours to question Mark Bridger in connection with Aprils disappearance. The 46 year-old had already been interviewed by detectives twice since his arrest on Tuesday. Investigators also confirmed that the school girl has cerebral palsy.

We have been granted an extra 12 hours to extend the custody time limit. This will expire tomorrow morning, when consideration will be given as to whether to apply to a court for a warrant of further detention

Yesterday April's mother Coral Jones made a desperate plea for information that could lead to her daughter being found.

Dyfed Powys police say their next update on the search for April will not happen before 11am today.
