Police continue to quiz man over woman's disappearance
Police continue to question a man on suspicion of the murder of a woman from the Flintshire area.
37-year-old Catherine Gowing, who's a vet and originally from County Offaly in the Republic of Ireland, has not been seen since she left work in Mold at about 7pm on Friday.
A 46-year-old Gwynedd man, who is apparently known to Ms Gowing, was arrested on Tuesday night and is being questioned by North Wales police at a local station.
Police believe that after finishing work she drove home to Cae Isa, New Brighton, in her work car, a Vauxhall Corsa. They say Ms Gowing owns a plum/burgundy-coloured Renault Clio with the Irish registration plates - 00D 99970 - and this is also missing from her home address.
– North Wales policeWe urgently need to trace this vehicle as we strongly believe this will help us find Catherine.
I want the public to think hard about this car and registration number.
