Police investigating the disappearance of Catherine Gowing from Flintshire have located a vehicle just two miles from the home of the missing 37 year-old.
A member of the public notified North Wales police after discovering a burnt out car in Pinfold Lane, Alltami, near Mold yesterday evening.
Since Ms Gowing was reporte missing on Monday North Wales Police have been appealing for help in tracing Catherine's plum/burgundy Renault Clio.
Following the discovery of the vehicle Det Supt John Hanson of North Wales Police has this morning said:
Yesterday Catherine' sister issued an emotional appeal to help find her "beautiful sister".
Ms Gowing, who hails from Clonlee, Co Offaly, in the Irish Republic, has not been seen since Friday night and police have been searching her since she failed to arrive at work at Evans Veterinary Practice in Mold on Monday morning.
A 46-year-old man from Gwynedd, believed to be known to Catherine, remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of her murder on Tuesday night.
