Welsh Government under fire after complaint over 'Pobol y Cwm' bovine TB story

The Welsh Government is under fire for trying to stop the broadcast of a television programme that touched on the controversy over badgers and bovine TB.

They'd asked S4C to cancel a repeat showing of the soap opera Pobol y Cwm. They claim it breached BBC and Ofcom guidelines that demand impartiality when dealing with controversial issues

But today the Farmers Union of Wales demanded an apology from the First Minister, Carwyn Jones. The Assembly's Conservative leader Andrew RT Davies said "the only soap opera is the Welsh Government itself."
