If you thought it was chilly today then brace yourself as it may get a lot colder as we head through next week. Overnight the odd shower continues in the west but elsewhere expect clearing skies and another cold night. It'll be close to, or just below freezing, expect a widespread frost and the chance of the odd slippery surface by dawn.Saturday starts with more winter sun, but through the morning it will turn cloudy from the NW. As the day progresses a warm front brings light to moderate rain to northwestern counties through the afternoon. Whilst it's a warm front, it won't feel warm, in fact it will be a touch cooler than today with highs of just 5-6C. Behind the warm front is a cold front and behind the cold front is, you guessed it, cold air. So Sunday will see some rain but it's a weakening feature then once that clears expect a new rush of arctic air heads our way. We will see some good spells of sunshine but it's likely to be bitterly cold.
