The National Dance Company Wales is celebrating 30 years of being on stage.
It was formed in the early 1980s when two keen dancers from Cardiff decided to start their own company in the hope that one day they'd take the arts to global audiences.
In those days they had just one studio to practice - and even saw the occasional rat during rehearsals.
Today the dancers are firmly at home in the Wales Millennium Centre - and the company is going from strength to strength.
Next week they celebrate their 30-year milestone with a performance at the Sherman Cymru performing arts venue in Cardiff.
Hannah Thomas went to meet them during rehearsals.
