American military funeral for Civil War sailor, thought to be Welsh
A sailor from the American Civil War who's believed to originate from Wales has finally been buried with full military honours. The remains of two men were found on board the USS Monitor which sank in 1862.
Robert Williams was a 1st Class Fireman who emigrated from Wales and joined the US Navy in New York.
16 people in total died when the USS Monitor sank off North Carolina. The two bodies were recovered back in 2002.
