Warning over spread of measles, as fresh cases reported

ITV News Cymru Wales has learned of fresh measles cases in Powys, and in Cardiff after a sports event attended by students from Swansea.

Meanwhile, a public health expert has warned that tens of thousands of children are potentially at risk because of the spread of the outbreak beyond South West Wales, where it has so far been concentrated.

Many parents across Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys have received letters, urging them to get their children vaccinated if they haven't done so already.

Public Health Wales has warned that parents must get their children vaccinated before school trips abroad, or other activities, during the easter holidays.
