This time next week we'll know what the Chancellor has planned for the next year or so when he announces his Spending Review. What we already know is that it will oversee further cuts but how deep will they be and will there be a shift towards more spending on things like construction projects?
It's been another worrying week of education news. We've learned how many secondary school children are struggling with basic maths. Intervention boards have stepped in to oversee education services in two local authorities. And all of this as a review is published which sets out the stark reality of behind-the-scenes failures.
I'll discuss both these major topics with my guests who are Anna Brychan of the NAHT teaching union, Labour's Huw Irranca-Davies MP and the Conservative MP Alun Cairns.
We'll also talk about the departure from the Assembly of Ieuan Wyn Jones and we get a glimpse of political satire from an exhibition of the cartoonist Mumph.
