Midfielder Jonathan de Guzman is poised to make a return from injury for Sunday's premier league clash away to Tottenham Hotspur.
De Guzman was out for the Swans' opening game of the season against Manchester United after a nasty head on clash with team mate Dirk Kuyt while on a training session for International duty.
The club says the 25-year-old Dutchman hopes to be fit for tomorrow's full training session ahead of Sunday's game.
The on-loan midfielder needed eight stitches after being treated for concussion, which forced him to miss Holland's friendly with Portugal.
But a return to the side for Thursday's Europa League game with Petrolul Poliesti has been definitely ruled out as too soon.

All I remember is running through a passing drill and all of a sudden I'm waking up about a minute later laid out on the deck and the doctor is looking over me. It was a nasty clash but it was just an unfortunate accident. I've had the stitches out today and trained with the group too and hopefully I'll be involved in full training on Wednesday. If that happens it will help my case
for selection for Sunday's game against Tottenham.
Sunday's kick-off at White Hart Lane is at 4pm.
