One thing Swans boss Michael Laudrup made clear this week as he made his plans for tonight's clash at the Liberty was that it was very important to get a good result in the first leg at home.
He said that a win would be good but a clean sheet would be even better to take into the second leg in Romania next week. Given the fact that it will be a tough game he says that he'd be happy with a one nil win.
Although Romania are an unknown quantity to both the team and the manager, the Swans have been studying videos of Petrolui Ploiesti as part of this week's training.
Interestingly, though, the Romanian side's manager Cosmin Contra is very well known to Laudrup after a spell in charge at Getafe when Contra was one of his star players.
Laudrup says both he and Contra will be vying to continue the European adventure.
This week, like many weeks over the summer, speculation has mounted about which key players might be sold before the close of the transfer window.
Ashley Williams and Michu have both been linked with moves to Arsenal, which could have an unsettling effect on the side.
But defender Neil Taylor says they take it all with a pinch of salt.
Tonight's kick off is at 7.05 pm at the Liberty Stadium.
