Sharp End 26th September 2013

We'll be peering into the future in tonight's programme. Following a report by the Institute for Fiscal Studies which predicts that the Welsh Government will face a funding gap of up to £2.6 billion by 2026, is the future for public services as bleak as the figures suggest or chance to do things differently?

The Shadow Welsh Secretary wants his party, Labour, to look at new ways of recruiting supporters, including involving non-members. Is it time for all parties to look outside the pool of usual suspects?

And with under a year to go until the independence referendum in Scotland, we'll look at how Wales is likely to be affected, whatever the result is.

Plenty to discuss with my studio guests who are Rachel Banner from True Wales, a group which campaigns against further devolution; Katie Dalton from the mental health charity Gofal and Dafydd Elis Thomas, Plaid Cymru AM and former Presiding Officer.
