A blustery and showery Bonfire weekend

Overnight rain clears away to the east, with clear spells to the north and west. A chilly night with lows of 5C.

Saturday starts with the next band of rain arriving in the west. Best chance of some sunshine further east. During the day the rain moves across the country becoming more showery as it does. Expect waves of showers during the afternoon, some of which will be heavy.

It will be a blustery afternoon with a risk of some coastal gales. The wind will keep the cloud chopped up so some sunny spells will be around too. Highs of 10-13C, feeling rather cool in the breeze. There is a risk that the winds will become particularly strong and gusty between 5-8pm with gusts reaching 60mph, a yellow warning may be issued by the Met Office tomorrow.

Sunday will be another day of sunny spells and showers, once again it will quite blustery. Monday sees the winds ease a touch and it should be a dry and bright start to the week. It's a one-day only offer as more wet and windy weather is heading in our direction for Tuesday.
