There's been a chill in the air today but for many parts of Wales there's also been some lovely autumn sunshine. Temperatures, however, are going to feel more like winter as it appears the first blast colder weather is heading our way for next week.
Overnight we see some cloud moving in from the west but further east there will be plenty of clear spells and here we will see temperatures tumble to 2C, so expect a groundfrost. Further west a combination of cloud and an onshore breeze will help these areas escape the frost.
Friday for many will be grey and cloudy, the best of any brighter spells will be in the southeast. The cloud continues to build in many places and there's a risk of a chance of some light rain or drizzle from time to time. The temperatures will feel about right for this time of year with highs of 8-10C but it's likely to feel somewhat cooler with the lack of sunshine.
There's more cloud expected on Saturday with a little rain around for Sunday. Monday sees bright spells and showers before temperatures take a tumble during the middle part of next week.
