A couple from Pontypridd have astonished married couples and wedding planners across Wales by spending under £1,000 on their big day.
Lisa and Mark Davidson estimate they managed to save over £19,000 by borrowing a wedding dress and scouring the internet for budget decorations.
Mr and Mrs Davidson also enlisted the help of family members to take photographs and used fake flowers to cut down the costs.
Two hundred guests were treated to battered prawns, chicken and a selection of desserts - all picked up for under £350 from a local supermarket.
Figures suggest the average cost of a wedding is now around £22,000, with a rise in people taking out loans for their big days.
